October 28th, these elk were part of a herd sitting underneath an electrical tower just West of where I live. There were two bulls and a whole bunch of cows (more than you see here, but they were kind of spread out). This is the best shot of the bull, he seemed to like to keep the metal tower between him and the roadway. This picture is taken from the opposite side of the road.
